Welcome Future Change Makers,
IIG looks for intellectually-inquisitive, impact-oriented University of Michigan students, who are passionate problem solvers and critical thinkers. We are open to all undergraduate students regardless of your major—more than anything we value diversity.
We are so excited that you are interested in joining the IIG community. This website, and especially this page, is your home for all recruiting related updates.
We encourage you to email iigumich@gmail.com with any questions or concerns, and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Your Questions, Answered.
-
Absolutely not!
We encourage applicants from all backgrounds to apply, and we encourage diversity of majors & interests. Your major has no bearing on your candidacy for IIG. We also welcome international students and semester & year long exchange students to apply.
-
If your application gets selected to move forward, we will reach out to you with next steps. There are traditionally two rounds of interviews with some networking opportunities between rounds. If you have any questions, please reach out to us at iigumich@gmail.com
-
That is absolutely okay!
IIG believes that it’s important to find your home on campus, whether it’s with us or elsewhere. Since most on-campus business organizations follow a similar recruiting timeline, you will have a period of time after offers are handed out to make your decisions. That said, we do ask that applicants are upfront about processes with other organizations during the interview stage of the recruiting process.
-
Be yourself! We want to get to know the real you & understand that this is a two way process. We’ll learn about you, and you’ll learn about us. If it’s a good fit, you could be our next IIG analyst!
Outside of that, we ask that you bring your best professional self to your application & interviews. Take your time with the application and tell us authentic, well-thought stories. In the interview stage, dress professionally, bring pencil & paper, and a positive attitude. -
We do not consider any late applications. If you want your application to be considered, please submit your application by 11:59pm on the application due date. We recommend submitting several hours or even days in advance to avoid technical issues.
